I love to travel, even those long-haul flights. I see them as de-stress and prep zone.
Long-haul flights can definitely be tough. Trust me when I say I know, as someone who had motion-sickness that only sleep could manage. Perhaps that’s how I “trained” myself to sleep on the plane, train, etc. Many people I know struggle to sleep on the plane, even for a couple of hours. Sometimes it’s simply they are not comfortable due to their height. I’m about 5’6″ and used to sleeping with large dogs.
Changing timezones can also affect our energy and vibrational frequencies. And even if you aren’t flying, we can be impacted by stressed-out people, unexpected changes, sudden weather shifts, etc.
So I travel with homeopathic remedies and flower essences. I also have a mobile quantum feedback app that I run for myself, family, friends, and clients. If you want a session run for you, contact me to arrange. You can also go to my Quantum Biofeedback website for more info.
Note: I am not offering medical advice or diagnosis.
Wade and I are both Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioners. If you see me on a plane, you’ll probably see me holding my fingers. Try it out yourself – hold your thumb and each of your fingers before, during, and after your flight.
There are many other hand holds and sequences that are more specific to an individual’s needs and concerns. This requires a conversation and we offer this in consultations. We also teach Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-Help, which is applying it to oneself.

Flower Essences
I first came across flower essences in university. Being an International Relations major, I had to write and present many history and political science papers. Talk about butterflies!
Then I found Dr Bach’s Rescue Remedy, a combo that helps in emergency situations where there is panic, fear, dissociation, possible trauma, etc. This remedy consists of several flower essences and helps to stabilize and addresses shock so the body is more able to respond. Please note that this does not replace medical attention or treatment. I’m merely sharing my own experience and this is not medical advice.
You can find Bach Flower Essences and other flower remedies in health food shops. If you want handmade essences that follow Dr Bach’s principles and teachings, check out Crystal Herbs. They’ve been making essences, including their own mother tinctures for over 30 years. They hand-pour and label their bottles by hand. This means that the essences aren’t disrupted by the energy of machinery and mass production. Check out their Revival Remedy (their name for their Rescue Remedy).
Homeopathy & Cell Salts
I bought a travel kit from Helios, which I gave to my mom. Helios makes several kits. This one has 36 remedies. Over the years, certain remedies have become my go-to. For colds, bug bites, indigestion. So those are the ones I usually travel with.
Just to share, and not as medical advice, this is what I keep in my travel pouch –
- Belladona for fevers
- Ferr Phos for early signs of a cold
- Arnica montana for muscle strain and aches; general physical weariness
- Ledum palustre for bites and puncture wounds (also Staphysagria)
- Cocculus Indicus for jet lag (mental and physical exhaustion, digestive upset), motion sickness (some people respond more to Tabacum for motion sickness)
- Arsenicum album and Nox vomica – upset stomach
The important thing about homeopathic remedies is matching the remedy to your condition. Each one addresses a number of conditions that are very specific so it’s important to read up on the remedies for the exact conditions. For the constitutional remedy, consult a homeopath.
In a pinch, I also do a water dose. I write the name of the remedy on a piece of blank paper and place a glass of filtered water on it for about 10-15 minutes and then I drink the water that’s now infused with the frequency of the remedy.
