My friend Esther and I found a cat café, and of course we went in and spent some time in the company of cats. We both love cats.
We had just had a foot reflexology session in Chinatown, which is definitely something we also both love and we would meet for a massage and a meal to catch up.
The Company of Cats is located at 6B Mosque Street in Singapore. They opened in 2014 to bring awareness to stray cats and adoption. It’s a cozy space with armchairs and a sofa to hang out with the ten rescued cats. There’s a lot of areas for the cats to get away, if they need their own space too. It’s also an event venue that you can rent for birthdays, gatherings, etc. Not this afternoon. And we were there for feeding time.

Update: It looked like Esther and I got to play with the cats before The Company of Cats closed in December 2017. All the cats “retired” and are living with the owners, who had adopted them before their adventure at Mosque Street. According to their Facebook Page, they had more than 25,000 visitors and raised tens of thousands for animal welfare organizations. They also hosted Jackson Galaxy a few times.
